Transform Your Career with the Full Bright Scholarship 2024

Title: Fulbright Scholarship Program for Master's and PhD Degrees

Introduction:
The Fulbright Scholarship Program offers funding for graduate studies in the United States. This program is sponsored by the United States Department of State and provides coverage for tuition, textbooks, airfare, living expenses, and health insurance. The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) assists with the visa process for successful applicants.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Master's degree program, candidates must hold a four-year Bachelor's degree or a combination of a Bachelor's and Master's degree from an accredited university, totaling 16 years of formal education. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, with the exception of MBA and Public Policy/Administration applicants who require two years of work experience.
For the PhD program, eligible applicants must hold a Master's, M.Phil, or comparable degree from an accredited university, totaling a minimum of 18 years of formal education. Candidates with work experience in teaching, research, or the public sector in Pakistan are highly desirable. All academic disciplines, except clinical medicine, are eligible.

Application Requirements:
All applicants are required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE General) with a minimum score of 138 in the verbal and 136 in the quantitative sections. A high level of fluency in spoken and written English is also required, with the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) being mandatory for all selected candidates.
Successful candidates are required to sign a contract with USEFP, and for successful PhD candidates, a bond with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) that obliges them to return to Pakistan immediately after completing their program in the U.S. and serve the country for the number of years equivalent to the length of their scholarship program. This contract is redeemable on a year-for-year basis minimum of two years.

Ineligibility:
Individuals with dual U.S./Pakistan nationality or those having a spouse, parent, siblings or child over 18 years of age who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident are not eligible. The Fulbright organization, the U.S. Department of State, or USAID employees and their family members are also ineligible, as well as those who have already received a Fulbright award for any degree program and individuals studying in the U.S. or on a work/residence/student visa in any country.

Application Process:
To apply for the Fulbright Scholarship Program, candidates must submit a complete application package that includes an application form, three reference letters, and a GRE score report. Scanned transcripts, including an explanation of the grading scale of the university issuing the degree, should also be uploaded. The HEC-attested documents are preferred with the application, but degree and transcripts attested by the issuing authority will be acceptable at the time of application. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and paper applications will not be accepted.

Conclusion:
The Fulbright Scholarship Program is an excellent opportunity for Pakistani citizens with strong academic backgrounds who are committed to returning and serving Pakistan. Applicants should be prepared to complete grants without accompanying dependents, if necessary. The deadline for the Fulbright Scholarship 2024 is May 12, 2023.
